First book in the excellent Ellery Queen Series. On the subject of hats, I‘m sat here reading today in my hat because it is a bit nippy. 😂

Book 2 of 2020, listened on Hoopla. This is the first Ellery Queen book, com 1929. So it‘s dated, and is also not the kind of mystery that the reader can solve due to info not being shared with the reader. I was on the right track though, wondering why they weren‘t taking a certain line of inquiry! The exact motive I was nowhere near—it is very 1929. I may listen to book 2 some time. #classicmystery #mystery
I had an uncle who had a collection of Ellery Queen and Agatha Christie.. when I was younger I used to always sit and look at the covers when I was there.. I had forgotten all about them until I found the audio book on hoopla. I figured I would finally check out those books that my uncle lived so much
Second book sale haul of the year is not too shabby!! 😍📚
Finished my first book during he #24B4Monday Readathon. I so wanted to love this book but really found it quite difficult to get into and can only really give it a so-so judgement. An interesting enough mystery, the book does feel a bit dated but why wouldn‘t it when it was written in 1929. When I finished the book I was on 6 hours and 30 minutes for the day.
Managed to get my first 50 minutes reading in for #24B4Monday Challenge. But now 2 am and due up for work at 6! 😱🙄😳🎩 @TheReadingMermaid
Good luck to everyone doing this Readathon!
