Footprints of God | Greg Iles
7 posts | 10 read | 4 to read
This "alarming, believable, and utterly consuming" (bestselling author Dan Brown) thriller from the New York Times bestselling author of the Natchez Burning trilogy and the Penn Cage series explores the terrifying possibility that the next phase of human evolution may not be human at all... Trinity. The government's top-secret supercomputer is an intelligence beyond comprehension--and a nightmare beyond humanity's worst fears. At the heart of a maelstrom of limitless science and ruthless ambition, Dr. David Tennant, Project Trinity's ethicist, harbors a lethal secret: he knows who murdered a fellow scientist. Fleeing for his life alongside psychiatrist Rachel Weiss, the only hope for survival lies in revealing the shocking connection between Trinity's apocalyptic power and David's tortured mind. Mankind's future hangs in the balance--and the price of failure is extinction.

I couldn't quite buy into all the twists and turns in this one, but it was a fun read that I gobbled up pretty quickly.

Least favorite of Greg Iles!!! I was the last and only person to post about this book! Anyone read it? 📚📚

Rachbb3 I bailed on this book years ago. I can't remember how far I got but I know I didn't finish. Greg Iles is a favorite so this was a disappointment. 😬 6y
CoverToCoverGirl Is this about a super computer or some such.. if so that was the one I was told to avoid.. sorry you collided with it! 🤨 6y
Cinfhen It's new to me🤷‍♀️ 6y

Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @TrishB it was written many years ago I can‘t remember the publishing date. I‘m not home or I would look! No need to waste your time in my opinion!! 6y
dragondrool I liked it fine, but it's nothing at all like the spectacular Penn Cage series. 6y
Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @dragondrool ikr!! Love Penn Cage!! Book crush!! 🔥 6y

My least favorite of Greg Iles... a #Futuristic view of how computers will control society... written in 2003 I think and now far from where we are today with all of our computers and electronic devices... #sizzlinsummerbooks
