There are rules to follow and if the chain is broken, Rachel and her daughter will die. This was a crazy (in a good way) exploration of a parent‘s love and the dark places they will go to protect their child.

pickI love Frankenstein as well as a good retelling! In the near future, reanimation has been regulated, but POTUS (needing a political win) decides to crack down on the “stitchers.” The story is told from the POV of an unnamed paralegal, a stitcher still navigating his new world, under a more hostile political climate.
This was eerily accurate to what‘s going on in the US right now!

panI really couldn‘t stand the narrator‘s voice for the MMC (it‘s narrated by the author), so that detracted some enjoyment for me. The story itself was good, but this romance was clean. Like squeaky clean. I like at least some spice in my romances! Overall, this just didn‘t work for me.
