Delightful! Lynn Redgrave gives life to the doll people; she‘s so good at it 💕
This modern fantasy book is something that gives life to a world full of toys and dolls. It lets kids imagine the possibility of a whole new outlook to their favorite things they use. It also contains a good introductory to imaginary realms that what they're used to. This may be something new to them, and the exploration is different and exciting!
This book is about a doll named Annabelle who belongs to a family. It gives life to this doll and makes her live as though a human would. But when a human enters near here, she is caught back in the same positioned as one thought. Its interesting and keeps the child's interest!
a quote I pulled from the book was “”annabelle,” said Papa at last, “leaving the house is dangerous”” this shows that they‘re dolls and acknowledging it‘s not normal to have dolls talking
This book would be great to read aloud to 1st or 2nd graders. I think they could follow the story because it‘s simple enough but interesting enough to enjoy
This book is a modern fantasy book. I i‘ve loved this book ever since I was little I think it‘s a great way for kids to imagine their dolls and toys having a life like them

Even though I read this recently, I started reading it aloud to my daughter last night and she's already asking for extra chapters! Not to mention that I saw Ann M. Martin is going to be at BookCon!!! 😍
I grew up playing with all kinds of dolls...
I saw this book and bought it for my daughter...
I just had to read it. It really took me back... I loved it!
I have read this book repeatedly over the past couple years. I do this with many of my books due to the fact that when I‘m younger I may not understand the book completely; But then again, when do you ever? Either way, I would recommend this book for a younger audience due to the fact that it‘s plot is based around ceramic dolls and their struggles. In addition, the vocabulary isn‘t very difficult to comprehend.
An adorable story about embracing differences for your elementary school child! Annabelle and her family are 100 year old china dolls who get new plastic, carefree neighbors. Annabelle befriends Tiffany and they form a team to solve the disappearance of Auntie Sarah 45 years ago! Very sweet and whimsical! My son is as excited about it as my daughter is. #kidlit #raisingreaders
My face still hurts (go ahead, it's killing you) so we went to vote and then came here to spend 2 hours running amok so I can read my book. Next time, a place with an exploding ball pit may be a better option for maximum reading time. #SufferinForSufferage #GoOutAndVote
The kids have off for election day today & I remembered I have a HUGE blanket to make for a Christmas commission! Time to buckle down a bit. I started #TheDollPeople last night to see if my daughter would like it. It was given to us by my father in law's retired teacher cousin, the only person who likes talking about books and reading more than I do! #hookersofLitsy #raisingreaders
This series is so much fun!! The pictures throughout are wonderfully engaging, too. #SeasonsReadings2016 #BooksWithPictures @RealLifeReading
My daughter is cleaning out and finding things from her childhood. She found this book - this lovely, wonderful book. Needless to say, this one won't get purged!
Cute! I always wondered what my dolls did when I was a young girl and now I know. Easy read about a doll family and centering on Annabelle who wonders if there's anything else out there.
🌟🌟🌟🌟5/5 stars!
This book is timeless, I wish I still had my copy with me even though I'm in college at the moment 😂
Great for elementary and young middle schoolers, there's 4 great books in the series 📚
