This was really good and easy to read… I loved the plot and even the ending but half way in, I found myself forgetting some characters as there were a lot of side players

A great psychological thriller and another really good read from Heidi Perks, she had me hooked again.
Book 10/20 for #bfcr4 halfway there!
The book switches between the present and the days leading up to their departure from the island. I liked the changing viewpoints. The story was really interesting. I had figured out bits about the past but not all. The story quickly drew me in and like Stella I was desperate for answers. It also raises an interesting moral question at the end. The ending was well done and interesting. It finished the story off in the only way it could

A long kept family secret is unearthed, with the discovery of a body on Evergreen Island. A thriller, with a closed list of suspects on a island. Can the truth be discovered in time.
Why did Stella & her family leave their home on Evergreen island in the dead of night?
Story is told from 2 viewpoints: modern day Stella & her (now deceased) mother 25 years in the past. It had a strong start & is well written but didn‘t hold my attention. 3⭐️

Brilliant from the opening page to the closing one. A real mystery. A seemingly quiet tranquil island is holding a secret. On the discovery of a woman‘s body questions are raised as to who it might be and who who would do such a thing. As the book goes on you skywatcher learn the secrets that the island is holding. Heidi parks certainly knows how to keep a reader guessing. This is not a book you will want to put down
An unputdownable read that swept me away to a tranquil island rocked by tragedy. There were so many twists and turns, blind alleys and surprises that it kept me on my toes right to the end. The choices and moral dilemmas were agonizing and well portrayed. Top marks. Riveting read. #NetGalley
