Final update for the #MidyearRush!! I definitely stayed up past my bedtime in order to achieve my 5000pg goal, but I am very proud of myself!! I've tried several readathons, and this is the first time that I felt like I found the balance between challenging and doable! I finished 17 books and got caught up on several challenges, so I say this readathon was a success!! Thank you so much for hosting @Clwojick !!!

Gissy Congratulations! 🎉👏👏👏👏 4y
TheAromaofBooks @Gissy - Thank you!!! 4y
Clwojick Yay!!! Way to go! Congratulations on hitting your goals! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 4y

VeganCleopatra Happen to know if this type of challenge is going to be occurring again soon? A page count challenge rather than a couple day readathon (at times when I never get time to read) might help give me a push. 4y
TheAromaofBooks @VeganCleopatra - Yes!! @Andrew65 is hosting another one July 11-19 where you set your own goals, be it page numbers, books read, time spent reading, whatever works for you!! I'm going to repost his graphic this morning & I'll tag you when I do!! 4y
Andrew65 @VeganCleopatra You‘d be very welcome to join us 😊 In fact we‘d love to have you join us. You can set your own goals and I always set a pages count goal. Although thinking of just using @TheAromaofBooks goals as on this one we virtually set the same target 5000 pages v 5026 pages and both read about the same amount of pages. (edited) 4y
Andrew65 Well done, a fantastic total 👏👏👏🙌🍾🥂🥳😍 4y
TheAromaofBooks @Andrew65 - for these longer readathons, aiming for about 350pgs/day seems to work - it's a bit more than usual but not unattainable! 4y
Andrew65 @TheAromaofBooks Yes same for me, balancing out work days and weekends but still takes some getting. 4y
VeganCleopatra @Andrew65 Thank you! I'm considering joining...I just never seem to have enough reading time these days so I'm wondering if a push like this would help. 4y
TheAromaofBooks @VeganCleopatra - it took me a few readathons to find the best style of goals that actually meant I read more, if that makes sense, so I recommend choosing a goal that is easy to track and gives you just a little push - if I make my goal too intense I get way behind and then don't even try! 4y

I spent a lot of yesterday reading & wore pajamas all day. Sometimes you just need a down day & it was lovely!! I finished this absolutely delightful addition to the Swallows & Amazons series - a surprisingly exciting & almost-plausible tale of being swept to sea!! I absolutely adore these books!!

I am closing in on my 5000pg goal for #MidyearRush - at 4669!!
@Clwojick

PS as you can see, my edition is a bit sun-faded!!

rockpools Awwww. I really need to reread these. I say that every month when you post 😁🌊⛵️ 4y
Clwojick You‘re doing awesome! 😍 4y
TheAromaofBooks @RachelO - haha I know that feeling!!! 4y
TheAromaofBooks @Clwojick - Thanks!!! I think I might make it!!! 4y

So I have been doing a pretty poor job of updating my #MidyearRush progress, but I have been reading!! Highlighted books are ones I finished that day. I had a couple of really slow days this week but still am on track to hit my 5000pg goal by the end of Monday!! Had to set up a new page this morning to hold the rest of the readathon's updates!!

@Clwojick

Clwojick You‘re doing awesome! 🎉 4y
coffees This is so cool, I love seeing everyone's reading bujos 😍😍😍 4y
TheAromaofBooks @crimson613 - I love it, too!! I get so many ideas from what I see other people posting!! 4y
coffees @TheAromaofBooks I gave up on doing bujos last year but with the few that have passed through my feed, I'm thinking about picking them up again, but this time for reading, it looks so fun and would definitely help me keep track of my reading and goals 4y
TheAromaofBooks @crimson613 - my actual day-to-day journal is really mostly to-do lists with colored pens to keep things interesting, but in December last year when I was signing on for 2020 reading challenges (my first January on Litsy haha) I decided to set up a separate notebook just for Litsy/reading & it's been super fun. I especially love printing out bingo sheets and taping them into the notebook!! 4y

Oh look, it's another readathon! WHY do I find these so addictive?! Thanks for the tag @Clwojick - you know I can't resist!! 😂

I'm going to officially start this one tomorrow. Can I read 5000 pages in 14 days??

I want to focus on finishing May's Bonanza books (only 5 left of my original 37 haha), my #ReadYourSign books (5 left, although 2 are also Bonanza books), catch up on #HeyCarrots (need to read both May & June's books) AND ⬇

TheAromaofBooks (cont'd) read June's #BookSpin & #DoubleSpin books!! It's a lot to get done, but I am confident that it can happen, especially since theoretically it should all actually happen by June 30, not July 6! 😆 Off to make my bujo page!!! 4y
Clwojick I wish I though of starting the Rush last week so we could finish right on the mid year mark, but I figured two weeks will give people a solid chance at making a good dent in their progress. Oh well 🤷🏻‍♀️😏 4y
Clwojick Good luck on all your goals! I know you‘re going to crush it! 4y

TheAromaofBooks @Clwojick - I'm also pretty awesome at thinking of really good ideas a little later than ideal, but this way the readathon STRADDLES the midyear mark, so that works, right?! 😁 4y
Crazeedi I'm so terrible at accomplishing challenges, I get sidetracked so easily, I cant sign up for more, I'm already a big failure!! 4y
TheAromaofBooks @Crazeedi - Nonsense, you just have to find what works for you!! If anything makes you feel like reading isn't fun anymore, don't do that thing!!! I've definitely given up on challenges that made me feel like reading was homework instead of something that I like to do - that's not failure, it's a sensible reassessment of my goals! 😁 4y
