I enjoyed this book but I think the cover makes it seem like it‘s a cute romance, and it is not. This is like a Marian Keyes or JoJo Moyes novel with a lead who is still finding herself. She‘s a waitress who also writes, and the book is partially about finding her voice when her high school boyfriend comes back & doesn‘t remember her. I was rooting for her, especially versus the comedian she‘s dating. #PopSugar prompt: Same title as a Song

MallenNC @Nute The cover is really off from the book‘s story. There‘s a lot going on with the MC and the high school boyfriend is only part of it. I‘d never read this author before but I‘m going to try some of her other novels. 3y

I always find reading/listening to super British novels to be an interesting thing because our slang and word usage is so different. That didn‘t throw me off a few times throughout the story but I did find it interesting nonetheless. As a server/bartender (who is also a writer lol) I definitely connected with the MC and her struggles. And I appreciated that she had a different personality. This book had meat to it and felt a little different.

I am using the tagged book for this prompt for my #popsugarchallenge as even though Lindsey Kelk isn't a celebrity in the same sense as Reese Witherspoon (who recommend books on a regular basis) recommended this book as it is written by a very good friend of hers. Lindsey Kelk is my kind of celebrity so I think it counts!

I would have read it anyway as I like this author but I need to fill in #popsugarchallenge prompts lol!!

Good. This story centres round a school romance that went wrong but as they get older they realise that it was meant to be. Interesting characters and not a cosy romance as the cover suggests as it deals with subjects such as sexual abuse and it's after effects. Recommend.

I didn't hate Don't You Forget About Me, but I didn't love it either. Georgina and Lucas are reunited 12 years after high school when Georgina gets a job at Lucas's pub. They were in love back in the day - now it appears he doesn't remember Georgina. Or does he? My review caused quite a stir on Twitter.
