I‘ve got so many unread stories queuing in front of my nose that I decided to put this one down. After my first excitement not much is pulling me back to this. Domaris might be an interesting character but Deoris is so spoiled-rotten. I don‘t know, the more I read the more I think that the pattern of narration is outdated. Too outdated for me. (It might work as audiobook.)
And if I already ignore that book I can as well update my record.

When putting this aside for “When Hitler stole the pink Rabbit” 🐇 I was surprised that I am almost half through. 🤷🏽♀️ I will put the tagged book aside, nevertheless. As I said, I haven‘t touched it for weeks – not only because my life is a buzz at the moment but also because the story itself isn‘t really calling me. 😟
Additionally, I am so damn tired in the evening these days that reading seems more demanding than listening to an audiobook.

Surprisingly it took me until here, p. 149, to really get hooked by the plot. I‘m not sure what I just read. Does Marion Zimmer Bradley copy herself❓🤔 At first, it reminded me of the fertility ritual between Morgaine and Arthur, then I thought of Morgause detecting whose son Gwydion is … And maybe that‘s all just imagination or wishful thinking because of _wanting_ to find connections. 😇🤷🏽♀️

It‘s about 2 years ago that I devoured “The Mist of Avalon” (on audiobook 🤭) and decided to (try to) read them all.
Which was, before I knew how many there are.
So, here I go. Let‘s hope I get along with my hardcover. Sometimes I can‘t stand if line spacing is too narrow because it then is too strenuous for my eyes 👓 👀 to read.
Yes, Littens, I might get old.

Well, I don‘t own all of them but let‘s see how far I get before I supposedly am fed up by the theme:
1. Das Licht v. Atlantis (Web of Light / Web of Darkness)
2. Die Ahnen v. A. (Ancestors …)
3. Das Schwert v. A. (Sword …)
4. Die Hüterin v. A. (Ravens …)
5. Die Wälder v. Albion (The Forrest House)
6. Die Herrin v. A. (Lady …)
7. Die Priesterin v. A. (Priestess …)
8. Die Nebel v. A. (The Mists …)
Okay so I had high hopes for this, being a big Darkover fan, but I just found that the way she throws the reader into this particular world to be super disconcerting and unappealing. After 100 pages I bailed and hit up the tbr. 🙄 #bailed #scifi #marionzimmerbradley #darkover

This has been sitting in my TBR for ages. I decided I needed a little easy fiction to break up #thingsnoonewilltellfatgirls and so here I am! So far it's just as delicious as Zimmer Bradley's other quasi historical fiction, but I'll leave the final assessment for later. 📖 #marionzimmerbradley #fantasy #scifi #atlantis
