#WeeklyForecast March 13-19, 2022
Just started The Artist‘s Way today. I‘m about 2/3 done The Cat Who Saw Red so I‘m on track to finish it in the next few days. I have the next book borrowed from the library & ready to go! I think both The Secret Garden & Rilla of Ingleside will end up on my DNF list... I just can‘t seem to get into them right now. I‘ll probably find a new audio choice & for my print pick I‘ll dive into Discworld again.

Cinfhen Nice to see you!!! Awesome graphics 😍Hope you find something great to hold your full attention 🎧 2y

I remember seeing this series in airports...it was fine. A newspaper writer solves crimes with the help of his tow cats. This one involved a gourmet attorney who hosts artists at his mansion. People begin to disappear. A cute and fast read. The plot was too thin for my taste and the ends all tied up too neatly and quickly at the end. #1986 #40thbirthdaychallenge #roadtrip

Pickpick

As entertaining and quick read as the first three ☺

Blueberry I enjoyed them on audio. Even when I read them I hear George Guidall's voice in my head. 7y

That novel restarted the series. Published in 1986, it's rekindled the interest in the "éponyme" series "The Cat Who..." The set up is predictable, the villain is made of cart board. Some really hicky body image values there that made me cringe. Qwill is now a food critic and needs to lose weight. Yeah, that bad. We meet Hixie for the first time, she will come back along with her zaniness. She's much better in later books.

ValerieAndBooks I read some of these years ago. Is this one the one with ceramics involved? 8y
writerlibrarian @ValerieAndBooks yes, it's the one with the ceramist. I used to love these cozy. But i found out that I could not read them again with the same "innocence". Still, when I first read them I did enjoyed them. 8y
ValerieAndBooks Funny how I remember that one detail. I kind of recalled it many years later when I had a ceramics professor tell us how hard it is to achieve a perfect red glaze. I think it's hard to re-read mysteries, definitely. 8y

A few of my favourite ones. There is indeed a theme in there, hence my choice of the series of The Cat Who. #booktober #bookmarks
