3✨ I was wondering while reading this if I‘ve already read it or if many horse stories are the same. The difference with “The Black Stallion” or other horse stories I‘ve read is this one follows Smoky as he grows, becomes a bronco in rodeos, and ages out of that. The ending is what really excited me for this horse. #Roll100 February

I found this kind of interesting to read because the narrative voice was very much in the vein of an American tall tale. It took a little getting used to the drawling vocabulary but it certainly set the mood. I will say there is a fair bit of racism casting brownness on the villainous characters. #BuriedAliveChallenge

My week started out strong by binging the rest of the Antimony arc in the InCryptid series but then I sort of stalled out as I've been working on the tagged for a couple of weeks now and every time I open Daugher of the Forest a cat decides to get up in my business.
