Of my weekly #bfcr3 goals:
No progress on my walking to running plan
1/3 days of yoga
0/2 days of abs
6/5 days of at least 6,000 steps
I did however go to my first Packers game and spend the weekend in Door County!

Having Thor is just another excuse for me to sit outside and read.
#dragonsoflitsy #lizardsoflitsy
Did a bit of reading on my phone while letting Thor enjoy the sunshine.
(He‘s in the box because he‘s still a baby and I don‘t trust him not to pull a runner yet.) #lizardsoflitsy
His (or maybe her) name was decided. Meet Thor: Lizard of Thunder!
Thor: Lizard of Thunder (Thor for short) or Kazul? Litsy help me decide!

I‘m starting to love Backman‘s writing! Interesting perspective with a diverse cast of characters and a good story. Also, heart wrenching at times, but still amazing.
Fun steampunk-like adventure story from Martha Wells. The world this is set in is fun and unique. Also a fun and spunky heroine!
This wasn‘t quite what I expected when I heard it described as James Bond with wizards. But, I liked it even more that way. The magic was more subtle and I had great fun with the characters and the story!
Guys, I graduate from law school tomorrow.
At least the weather isn‘t all that great because it means that I‘m not tempted outside instead of studying for finals, but make it stop!
1. See tagged book. I‘m hoping to finish it this weekend.
2. All the studying! (And I‘ll make an effort to get to church on Sunday.)
3. Yes.
4. Jack, Miranda, or Morgan
5. ❤️❤️❤️

I‘ve been looking forward to #sffs opening day ever since the box arrived and I was not disappointed! Thanks @Ingerella ! I cannot wait to start both of these books. (Especially the tagged one, I love books set in Russia/northern Europe!) The other goodies are also awesome. The socks fit perfectly in my collection of novelty socks, and you‘re right, you can never go wrong with peanut butter and chocolate! Thanks @Avanders for hosting!
What a sunset to leave Hawaii on! My trip has been spectacular and I only wish I could stay longer!
#bbsredacted opening day!! Check out all the awesome stuff that I got from the awesome @Kwrightson1986 ! This is such an awesome box! Thanks so much! I love everything!
My boyfriend and I broke up this week after 4 years together. I‘m pretty crushed by it so I‘m spending Friday night cuddling with Kevin the giant squid. Also taking suggestions on how to feel not so upset about it (the breakup, not Kevin).
@Jilly6183 and @Kwrightson1986 I just sent out my #bbsredacted package. Picture is of books I‘m currently reading because I forgot to take a picture of the actual package.
About to start my first Stephen King novel. My supervising attorney loves just about everything King has ever written, but I‘ve never read anything by him because I‘m not a fan of horror. I know there‘s a Hulu series out there, but I wanted to read the book before I watched it.
I definitely recommend this! It was such a beautiful story about family, love, and grief. Zusak really has a talent for writing, characters, and world building. I will definitely continue to read whatever he writes. While I didn‘t like this quite as much as The Book Thief (it was very close), I still highly recommend it! Also, there are parts of this that I found really emotionally devastating so be prepared.
Bracing myself for the part that I just hit where I know it‘s going to be emotionally devastating.
Reading and going shopping for my #bookishbrewswap match on this cold and windy Sunday evening. @Kwrightson1986 have you ever read the tagged series?
#hellothursday
1. Rural
2. Beach
3. Summer: scuba diving/Winter: snow-shoeing (and also scuba diving but in the cold!)
4. Camping (but not on the beach itself because of sand 😐)
5. This is the first book I thought of. Absolutely loved it as a kid and made me want my own falcon.
Got this from the library and am already part way through! So far, I‘m liking it more than I Am the Messenger, but am still holding out to see how it compares to The Book Thief.
Totally forgot to actually post this yesterday.
Thanks @laur89 for my #justabookswap! This looks really awesome and I totally plan on diving right in!
Finished this on my cold weather-induced day off. I loved it!! Such a great setting. I thought the author nailed the fandom/fanfiction/fan convention portion of this perfectly. Additionally, I thought it had a great be-comfortable-with-yourself aspect/message that really resonated with how unsure I felt about myself in high school.
@laur89 is doing a #cleartheshelves #shelfawarenessgiveaway! Be sure to check out her page for more information if you‘re interested.
Getting nervous about my car functioning on Thursday. 🥶😨
The picture on the left is from my walk (snowshoeing) yesterday. The picture on the right is my bookshelf because I ended up walking circles around my apartment as by the time I got to walking it was dark outside.
Does snowshoeing count for #litsywalkers if I‘m listening to an audiobook while doing it?
Madison has a huge and wonderful arboretum where the hiking trails double as cross-country ski/snowshoe trails in the winter.
After some stalking, I ordered a book for my #justabookswap match. Looking forward to getting it and sending it off!
Tomorrow is the start of my last semester of law school, and I plan on it also being my first day of getting back to eating healthy. However, today is not tomorrow so I made this is RumChata Carrot Cake Banana Bread with RumChata Cinnamon Cream Cheese frosting.
Made some Rock Cakes to enjoy while watching the Caps play.
I can never seem to make the flight times and bus schedule work out on the way back to Madison where I don‘t have a two hour wait in Milwaukee before the bus to Madison. 😐 At least there‘s a book store...
Packing dilemmas: The book on the right is the one I brought to my parent‘s place on break that I haven‘t touched; the middle stack are the books that I am for sure taking back to school with me; the stack on the left are books that I want to take back with me. Send help! 😅
Had a discussion with my mom (my love of books is genetic 😆) about rereading books you liked and discovering that they weren‘t as good as you remembered. This series was her example. So far in my own reread, I‘m really enjoying them.
I picked up a dog-walking gig on my winter break. Spending time with these two is a fair tradeoff for not getting to sleep in as much.
I‘m really loving the Murderbot series and started on the next one as soon as I finished this one. I really like that even though there‘s a larger story arc, each book is its own self-contained story. I also really like that each book in the series seems to pack a lot of plot into ~150 pages making them great quick reads.
