Commissioned in 1975 by Thomas Nelson Publishers, 130 respected Bible scholars, church leaders, and lay Christians worked for seven years to create a completely modern edition of the King James Version that would continue the classic tradition of the original King James. With unyielding faithfulness to the original Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic texts, the translators applied the most recent research in archaeology, linguistics, and textual studies. The resulting work provides today's Bible reader with an accurate and modern translation of the Scriptures with the stylistic beauty and memorable quality of the King James. Cruising in my birthday suit for Livestream Mass and posting on Litsy? I promise these same preachers would tell you I was way worse. Plus the crocheting is kind of a cover? #dailycheckin cus I am thinking so much about Andrew et al! Got my Halloween ON yesterday: all devices streaming ambience, stickers… working on it. #readathon #scarathlon2021 #teamslaughter

Yummy GrandDog paws being featured. Yes: I inhale them.

Clwojick 🧡🧡🧡 awe puppy feeters! 🙈 3y
Andrew65 Thanks, still very much the same. Over my worst symptoms but still low in energy levels and taking ages to return to normal. Days like yesterday you think you are on that trajectory, then today totally exhausted. 3y

GHABI4ROSES @Andrew65 be patient with it; my MomMum is still not the same, been 6 months, and she is a healthy and hot new 70. 3y
Andrew65 @GHABI4ROSES It is a slow and careful journey. Was feeling a lot better today, then hit a wall! 3y
GHABI4ROSES @Andrew65 ☯️relapse is part of recovery. Episodes will be further in between, shorter in duration, and less intense 🙏🏾 Careful is an excellent word. Remain intentional🕉 3y

#MountTBRchallenge Number 58 and chunkster of the year. This translation fits in my bag, so it goes with me everywhere. And the margins are generous so I am able to put plenty of prayer flags on its pages.

Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in his law he meditates day and night. -Psalms 1:1-2 I wish everyone a beautiful first day returning to work may your new year start bright and right. 😋🤓

Libby1 I read this same passage yesterday. ☺️ 6y
Ddzmini @Libby1 I read passages all the time but sometimes I just open the Bible and read the verses and they always fit the day 😋 6y

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it." John 1:1-5
