My first Sharpe, also first in the series chronologically (although not the first one written).
Sharpe, a British soldier in India, goes undercover to save an officer in Seringapatam and to get info on how/where to best attack the city.
It's a fast-paced and somewhat violent piece of historical fiction, with believable characters, lots of interesting historical details, twists and turns. ⬇️

eeclayton I'll be sure to check out the other books in the Sharpe series, there are plenty of them 😁 4y
KVanRead I‘ve never read them but I loved the tv adaptations with Sean Bean 4y
eeclayton @KVanRead I heard Cornwell say in a podcast that Bean was the perfect Sharpe. 4y
KVanRead He is fabulous 4y

This was a reread for me but it still holds up. This is the first book in the series chronologically. It's an exciting easy read.
