Playful Learning
Playful Learning: Develop Your Child's Sense of Joy and Wonder | Mariah Bruehl
3 posts | 4 to read
Parents have a unique opportunity to harness their children's curiosity and channel it into the development of habits of heart and mind that will serve them throughout their lifetime. Playful learning is the magic that takes place when we meld a child's sense of joy and wonder with thoughtfully planned learning experiences.

#LitsyLearn @Alora

1) Vegetarian. Teaching for 10 years. Love black licorice.

2) The Alchemist

3) Nope, just on Twitter.

4) Too cold (probably because I'm from a place that reaches 110* F).

Alora Hi Karisa!! Thank you so much for playing and reposting! 💜 Is the lie black liquorice?! 5y
StillLookingForCarmenSanDiego I'm guess black licorice as well. 5y
Eggbeater Also guessing licorice. 5y

Karisa Nope! I'm a black-licorice-loving weirdo. 😂 5y
Megabooks You‘re not a vegetarian 🤔 5y
Karisa @Megabooks Good guess, but I'm a non-meat-eating weirdo too! 😂 5y
Karisa Lie= Teaching for 10 years (actually been 20 years). 💯% dork though. 5y

#TodayILearned that it‘s “champing at the bit” not “chomping at the bit.” 🤯

Also, please tell me more about this #TodayILearned #TIL tag. I don‘t actually know what I‘m participating in. 😅

MelissaSue81 I believe it is part of #NFNov (nonfiction November). Sign up with @Clwojick and @rsteve388 5y
monalyisha @MelissaSue81 Ah! Thanks @MelissaSue81 What a great idea! I don‘t have time to participate but I‘ll follow the tag! 5y

monalyisha @readordierachel THANK YOU! ChAmping! I read it in a BookPage article on Erin Morgenstern‘s new book & I had to put everything down to investigate. No one at my work seemed to care! I feel validated that you seem to be as shocked as I was! 5y
rsteve388 #TIL is a Reddit subreddit that allows folks to say what they learned that day and I thought it would be a cool thing to bring to this #NFNov 5y
Crazeedi @rsteve388 thanks for explaining, I had no idea what TIL meant! 5y
marleed @rsteve388 I just Googled TIL as today‘s post convinced me I was missing out on an acronym. I love this and have since scrolled through the hashtag to see what everyone learned! Cool. I didn‘t sign up for the challenge in time to rearrange my tbr, but this is so cool that I‘ll squeeze in NF between lib holds dropping so I can audit this challenge! 5y
