Nicci French thrillers are always great, and I think this is my favorite (of the ones I‘ve read). Super creepy, very ominous, and a great ending! #scarathlondailyprompts #secret #teamslaughter

Catching up from yesterday. The only two titles with “smiles” from my shelves. I believe (it‘s been a while) that I liked the tagged book, a thriller, and I loved The Girl Who Smiled Beads, a memoir. (The audio book was excellent!)
The story of a sociopath who becomes obsessed with a woman after she rejects him. I read this in practically one sitting poolside at my sister-in-law's home in Round Rock, TX. Not the most believable book, but I was captivated! When the pool guy showed up unannounced in the backyard, I screamed and ran inside. My brother-in-law had to go and explain to him that I was reading a scary book and he had startled me. 😂 #maybookflowers #obsession
A truly psychological book that was so difficult to read at times, which must mean this book was very well written. I always enjoy books by this husband and wife team, but I think they out did themselves on this one as I truly wanted to get inside the book and tell the police and everyone else that the lead protagonist was telling the truth and they were all being hoodwinked by a true master at the art. A surprising twist at the end. Recommended.
Continuing with this book, which is well written - possibly too well written! This book is quite painful listening at times, it is very psychological about a man obsessed by a girl who he went out with for 8 or 9 days and the effect this has on her and the fact nobody believes her about what is going on. Wonder how it will end! 😬😳
