I was not happy with how my reading turned out last year. I hit a big slump. With my Netgalley and Literati subscription I started feeling stressed about reading. So I made two big changes.
1. I did not set a number reading goal, it makes it easier for me to DNF and focus on quality not quantity.
2. I deleted my Netgalley account. I have so many amazing books that I own that I can read.
I'm really looking forward to reading now.

bthegood Change #1 is one I made a while ago too - it really helps when I don't like a book and do not want to finish it - when a book becomes a “chore“ to read I DNF - glad you are less stressed and enjoying reading - (edited) 2y
Ahw06 I totally get that! I hit a slump around November of last year and just this week started and finished my first read of 2022. Sometimes the pressure becomes too much and we need to take a step back and remember why we started reading in the first place. I hope this helps your slump and that you can enjoy reading again ❤️ 2y
