An anti-love poem. Short and NOT sweet.😉

vivastory I think Atwood is underrated as a poet. This has been a fave of mine for awhile 3y
merelybookish @vivastory I think her initial success was with poetry but it was eventually eclipsed by her fiction. But I agree. I always like her poetry. It has bite. 3y
vivastory I think she recently published a book of poetry. I should check it out... 3y

#FallFinds Day 20: I first knew Atwood as a poet, and this is a powerful one that features #Furtive. My Poetry Friday post of this poem here: https://wp.me/pDlzr-3aJ

Eggs Hmmmm interesting... I‘ve been meaning to ask you if you ever received the bookish box 📦 I sent you last spring to a US address? 4y
GatheringBooks @Eggs it is safely with my sister in law in California - but haven‘t had a chance to see it, since our visit was predictably postponed to a later date. 😭😭😭 4y
GatheringBooks @Eggs thank you so much for sending it!!!! 💕🥰🧚🏼‍♀️ 4y
Eggs Oh you‘re welcome ❤️ This strange year has made a farce of our plans 😕 4y

Every time a friend starts bingeing on Atwood poetry, I get to reread whole chunks and feel a world of feels all over again. This is from CIRCE/MUD POEMS.
