Book #4 from the 75% off Presidents Day sale at thrift store. The first line on the back page was soooo relatable to my life. “Lottie and Rose are near-strangers, but they‘re both in the same boat: if they don‘t get away from their regular lives - kids, school, failed ambitions- they will implode. So the two answer rental ad and head out of town for a restorative month away.” Or so they think,right?

I have a book club meeting over this tonight. A fun, easy, beach read. It's a retelling of The Enchanted April, so of course I had to read that, too.

I tried but I just couldn't get attached to these characters. I got halfway through and gave up. Hope I wasn't hasty.

It's still August, so I picked this off the shelf this morning to get in under the wire. It's based on Elizabeth van Arnim's Enchanted April.
