#weremember #LarryMcMurtry Before he could make a living by writing, he was a book scout .Going from town to town , trying to find a treasure in the dusty used bookstores.He had a multi building bookstore in his hometown, Archer City,Tx.downsized it substantially before he passed.His son is a working musician, not available to work a bookstore job.In the tagged book Larry talks about his love & history w/ books & characters he met along the way.

I don't remember either of my parents ever reading me a story-perhaps that's why I've made up so many.

Never heard this word before

I was thinking through some different reason why I love books so much and why they have such a powerful presence in my life. So thought I'd share some reasons, one at a time, through some different posts. REASON #1: I love books because of their ability to transport me into different worlds and times. The ability of traveling by pure imagination is one of my favorite things that books can do.

So last night I decided to weed out a few books and ended up picking 12 books I no longer need.....And it didn't even make a noticable dent.
