Understanding Border Collies
Understanding Border Collies | Barbara Sykes
4 posts
The Border Collie is an extremely versatile breed, faithful enough to be a loyal friend, honest enough to be a hard worker and intelligent enough to be an asset in rescue and other services. This comprehensive, illustrated book gives essential advice on how to become the pack leader by understanding and interpreting the body language of man's best friend. Topics include: choosing your Border Collie; taking your puppy home; commonsense dog training; nutrition; creating a partnership; training, adolescent and older dogs.

#bookspin - not the tagged book but the pictures. As an owner of a very typical, slightly neurotic working border collie, this was extremely interesting!

TheAromaofBooks I may need to find this one! Waylon's brain still puzzles me sometimes 😂 2y
bekakins @TheAromaofBooks there were so many moments of ‘oh so that‘s why Gary does that‘ 🤣🤣 2y

1. Debbie - a black and white cat.
2. Currently have two border collies, Waylon and Paisley. We also have ten laying hens: Margaret, Penelope, Esther, Elsie, Henrietta, Penny, Wilma, Josie, Isabelle, and Mabel.
3. A Guernsey cow.
4. There is basically no limit to the weirdness of our two dogs who, in typical border collie fashion, are constantly devising new and exciting ways to keep us on our toes.
5. Love to hear from others!!

CoveredInRust @JanuarieTimewalker13 They are such sweethearts! 6y
Laura317 They are great dogs! Mom has one when I was little. I had gotten permission to go down the street to a friend‘s house. Mom looked out awhile later to see me crying in the yard. Skip wouldn‘t let me out of the yard. He kept “herding” me. 😂 6y
JanuarieTimewalker13 They are. I was close to one. His name was Teddie. Such an incredible dog. Would watch over me when I would dive in his family‘s pool, and I would go rollerblading and walk him. Best dog ever❤️So smart, so in tune with his humans. 6y
Karkar Something about black and white dogs ❤️❤️❤️ 6y
