A good starting point, with a wonderful “Bibliography and Further Reading” section to keep going. Not quite what I was expecting, but still informative and helpful. If nothing else, this book has encouraged me to continue studying the Irish language.

I wonder if this is why I far prefer Shakespeare‘s tragedies to his comedies? Some sort of genetic predisposition to wanting fictional characters to die by the end. I have said that during some of the comedies. “I don‘t like any of these characters. I hope they all die at the end.” 😂🤣😂

This MAY be the book I‘ve been looking for. I was far more convinced off that before I read the preface. If nothing else, perhaps it will be a starting point for coming up with my own definitions.
I‘m still not sure I‘m down with the term “pagan” as it is a Christian term (and proof of the militant nature of Christianity), but I suppose that‘s part of others definitions.
