Point of View: Four Decades of Defining Style | Tonne Goodman
3 posts
Throughout her illustrious career, Tonne Goodman has made the famous stylish and the stylish famous. The Vogue fashion director has not only shaped the way women dress and see themselves, but she has also created a nexus in which the worlds of celebrity and style continually collide. Now, in Point of View, Goodman's life and career are explored for the first time. Organized chronologically, this book charts Goodman's career from her modeling days, to her freelance fashion reportage, to her editorial and advertising work, through to her reign at Vogue. The editor's recollections of some of the world's greatest photographers, models, celebrities, and designers of our time are illustrated throughout, with behind-the-scenes fashion photos and shots of Goodman's personal life.

Thanks for the tag @Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick

1. I like 1st person. But I like knowing the narrator‘s name.
2. Probably 2nd because it is so uncommon.
3. Choose your own adventure books are usually 2nd person. I think I would like to read The Night Circus or Kwame Alexander‘s Booked.

Anybody who hasn‘t played yet can jump in!

BookmarkTavern I didn‘t even think of choose your own adventure books! Thanks for sharing! 3y
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick It's been so long since I've read a Choose Your Own Adventure book that I didn't consider those 3y

1. I really enjoy both 1st and 3rd. There's a benefit to both of them.

2. 2nd is less common so also my least favorite. If not well done, it's strange.

3. I know I've read the Emergency Skin short story on Amazon & The Night Circus. I'd like to get around to You eventually.

Want to play? @katy4peas @Tera66 @Tattooedteacher

Hey all! Today I want to know if a book was rewritten or another version release from another character‘s point of view, what book would you want it to be and whose perspective would you want to read?

#SimplySunday

AsYouWish I would want the Twilight books from Jasper‘s point of view. He is my favorite character and I want his opinion in everything. Plus I just want more of him and to know more about his past. (edited) 5y
Avanders Maybe clichéd, but Draco. ??‍♀️? 5y
AsYouWish @Avanders That is a good one! I would totally read that one. 5y
Susanita I want to know more about Viktor Krum. 5y
AsYouWish @Susanita That‘s a good one too. It would interesting to know more about the other schools in the Wizard World. 5y
