Book 65

I listened to The Believers by Zoe Heller, a family drama about a family forced to confront their issues, political, religious, career, and relational, after the dad ends up in a coma. It was okay. ⭐⭐⭐

#likeaprayer #movember

Because if you‘re praying, you must be a believer. 😆

Cinfhen Sounds interesting! I like books that deal with faith / since I‘m a believer 🙏🏼💋 5y
Crazeedi Sounds like a book I want to read 5y
MicheleinPhilly I‘ve had this on my shelf for YEARS. 5y
Reviewsbylola Girl, same. I bought it because I loved Notes on a Scandal, so it‘s probably been on my TBR for at least ten years. 🤦🏼‍♀️ @micheleinphilly 5y
MicheleinPhilly HA! That‘s exactly why I bought it! 👯‍♀️ 5y

These two titles related to #hallelujah in my mind. I haven't read either. I bought The Believers because I absolutely loved Notes on a Scandal. Heaven I bought years ago during my slight obsession with JCO. I grew out of that obsession once I realized that I disliked more of her books than I loved. But maybe I'll read it someday. 😂 #junetunz

merelybookish JCO has so many books! Hard to have a consistent relationship with her. 🙂 7y
Cinfhen Haha, I also wanted to love JCO but....it's not working out between us😖 7y
Reviewsbylola I really love certain books of hers. Blonde and My Sister, My Love both spring to mind. But then I read more of her and most of her books just aren't for me. I'm still willing to give her a chance every now and then though. @Cinfhen 7y
Reviewsbylola Exactly, there isn't much consistency. I've gotten a little better at determining which books of hers I'll like but it's difficult! @merelybookish 7y
emilyhaldi I've only read Blonde, but as you know I had a little bit of trouble with JCO as well... 😑 7y
