It was a okay book. There wasn‘t really a plot to it though and I skimmed the last little bit.
It's been forever since I've read a physical copy of a book.
pickNot quite what I expected but still enjoyable. Slightly creepy with a very slow build to uncover the protagonists' secrets. Two neighbors in an isolated mountain area become involved with each other's lives -one young and hiding, the other old and meddling. There is a WWII story line that was unexpected but became very interesting. Good but not great creepy character-driven mystery.
Slightly creepy and intriguing book plus spicy taco soup in the crock pot tonight. Yum! #bookanddinner

so-soI'm caught between a like & so-so. I found it slow and was waiting for something at the end. Decent story overall with some quotable parts which I like.

pickThe hardcover got a little warped when I took the book to the beach. It's very appropriate because I found it to be a good beach read. Jennifer's relationship with Zoe hit me hard because I, too, have a Daddy's girl. I wasn't expecting the second backstory, which was a pleasant surprise. Good book!
