I appreciate a hist-nonfiction book in my immense reading of hist-fiction books. This is an inside look at the rich and famous and how they fared through traumatic WWII era. Many quotes from diaries enrich this book and bring clarity of times not forgotten. Coco's 80+ years is the foundation of this book. A remarkable self-made woman who demands and stands her ground when a weaker woman would've crumbled early on in life.
