I wish there was “Pick” and then “Super-Pick”, because this was more than a so-so, but not in the same league as my last read The Heart‘s Invisible Furies... It‘s a pick as it was a gripping page turner. It was brutal though - about the breakdown of a marriage and the death of a child. However it also veered into psychological thriller and some of those parts were just bizarre. I like this author‘s writing, but much preferred Apple Tree Yard.
