I know this is blasphemous, but I like the TV show so much better. The plot here is slow and tedious, and wow! Talk about someone who should not be writing female characters 🤦🏻‍♀️. I gave it 116 pages. (Side note, my library copy is the grossest book I‘ve ever checked out. I don‘t know how many people have spilled food and god only knows what on the pages, but hardly one has been spared assault from patrons 🤢)

SconsinBookyBadger 😳 Wow the nerve of people! My library is relentless with tracking down patrons who damage their books. 9mo

The first book in the Colter Shaw series which the new CBS TV show, Tracker comes from. 3.5 ⭐. Fast-paced, set in Silicone Valley.

Really good engrossing book. Jeffery Denver has a way of really getting you to engage with his characters and this book is no different. Great plot. Colt has his own story and answers he trying to find but in the meantime along the way helps others find answers even if it is closure

You can so tell this book wanted to be called The Whisper Man, but there was a book released around the same time with the title. A new detective thrown into the world of video games with a murderer who wants to recreate the game in real life. Good book, but be ready for a lot of explanations and old man jokes around gaming. I mean a lot. Good suspense and story. Good for this time of being locked in.

This was my first read by Jeffery Deaver and I really enjoyed it. I can‘t wait to find out what happens to Colter Shaw in the second book! I also plan to read the Lincoln Rhyme series by Deaver!

Interesting new lead character - a home w book survivalist turned ‘finder / reward chaser‘ and an interesting case with gamers at the centre. Sometimes the writing felt a little flat but would def try the second in the series when it comes out!

This was sooooo good!!! I was disappointed it wasn‘t a Lincoln Rhyme novel but it didn‘t disappoint. Colter Shaw collects rewards for a living. It‘s an interesting life. He finds himself in the middle of a series of kidnapping/murders. Can he collect his rewards and stop the game. The subplot of his background and family is also very interesting and leaves me hopeful there will be another book. Highly recommend!!!!!

Story of a man who works for reward money. He ends up in California looking for a college student but nothing is as it seems. When another person goes missing under the same type of circumstances, Colton realizes there is more here than is at first apparent. Gamers, survivalist, politics, and cops. This book has it all.
