This was a fast, easy, heartfelt read with a nice twist toward the end. Lucy a 'witch', Jess a young woman who lost her son to a tragic accident, and Star a homeless teen. They all find each other and are connected in ways none saw possible. Cute story, a bit slow and repetitive in certain parts. Characters were a tad flat, overall enjoyable read!

After the death of her 8-year-old son, Jess packs up her things and heads for the small mountain town of Pine Lake. There she takes a position as caregiver to Lucy, an eccentric old woman rumored to be clairvoyant. Lucy takes in “lost “ children and help them find their “loose ends”. It all comes together quite nicely at the end of the book.

Really good read so far😉.... I‘ve finished and it was very good but I figured the plot out half way:)
pickThis caught me off guard. This debut novel was my Amazon Prime monthly pick (I just got a new Kindle Fire, so I've just started taking advantage of that feature); I chose it because I love magical realism. I highly recommend this if you enjoy that genre. Lovely, heart-wrenching, lovable characters, & kept me guessing until the end.

pickNot bad, kept me up a little past my bed time a few nights. I liked the storyline except the whole calendar and crosswords. Lucy seemed a little batty and Jess was just clueless.
Just sat down to read this in a rare quiet moment and this happens 🙄
