The Alexandria Link
The Alexandria Link: Cotton Malone 1 | Steve Berry
12 posts | 27 read | 7 to read
A hidden treasure. A forgotten truth. Cotton Malone is in trouble. His son has been kidnapped and his bookshop in Copenhagen attacked, all because he is the only man alive who knows the whereabouts of the Alexandria link -- the means of locating the most important cache of ancient knowledge ever assembled: the legendary Library of Alexandria, which vanished without trace fifteen hundred years ago. Now, Malone is forced to join the search for a forgotten truth hidden within that vast literary treasure -- a truth that, if revealed, will have grave consequences, not only for Malone, but for the balance of world power ...

Popcorn action novels are my guilty pleasure. I read them when my last book has blown my mind and I don‘t want to think too hard. These are pure fun!

Good sequel to the Templar legacy. Steve berry does a good job of expanding on the characters we meet in the Templar legacy. Similar format with different subject matter. If you liked the first one then you can feel comfortable the sequel holds up.

Finally picking this one up again. Got distracted by some ARCs. And welcome to another edition of #ManpanionCooks. 🤪 Lunchtime reading paired with smoked pulled pork drenched in homemade BBQ sauce - not too spicy and not too sweet - and potato salad loaded with dill.

Velvetfur Home made bbq sauce sounds lovely! 6y
blondie Mmm. Sounds so good! 6y
SassyBookworm That all looks good!!! Especially the potato salad loaded with dill (my favorite herb!) 6y

A little lunch time reading. Spaghetti with homemade sauce compliments of my #Manpanion #lunchtime #reading

Kaye You have a Manpanion who can make homemade spaghetti sauce ? Well Good Lord, Vinton. I drew the short straw. My manpanion can only make pop tarts. 🤔😳 (edited) 6y
FlowerFairy @Kaye Bwahahaha! I certainly won the lotto on this one! Not only is he an amazing human being and my best friend, he‘s also an absolutely brilliant cook. Gets up in the morning and has my coffee and breakfast made and lunch packed. Often includes a little treat like gummi bears (which he calls my crack) for reading. Right now he‘s smoking a chicken and a pork loin. Being spoiled isn‘t something I‘m used to, but I‘m adjusting and loving it. 😍 6y
Kaye Wow that sounds great 👍🏼so glad you found a treasure. ❤️ 6y

What if the events of the biblical Old Testament actually took place in Saudi Arabia, rather than Palestine? How could ambitious men use that to their advantage? And what if all the answers were in the hidden library of Alexandria? This isn't a superb book, but was entertaining. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I need to add a shelf for the whole "destabilize religion because ...secrets" genre.
