Honestly, I feel like my book shelves need some serious love (& dusting) before a #Shelfie is taken & I‘m working all day & too busy to do it so, here‘s some shelfies from my local bookstore (tagged). They celebrate 6 years in business this Saturday & I‘m hoping to head over there for the gathering & sale. 🌈📚🌺

So, I‘m not going to tell you that I didn‘t go a bit wild at #independentbookstoreday at my local indie bookstore‘s (tagged) gathering…🤷🏻‍♀️ I‘ll follow up with a just the books shot. I bought 5 books (3 to be autographed by the authors, 1 I‘ve been wanting & a poetry book because it was on sale. Then I got a free poetry book & tote & they sent me to a bin to pick out more free books & kept saying “take them” so what is a book lover gonna do? ⬇️

Independent bookstores are scarce in Honolulu so it‘s pretty bad that Da Shop has been open almost a year & I finally made it there on Saturday. A great space (although hot🥵) in Kaimuki specializing in National/International Best Sellers, Children‘s Books & Hawaiiana/Oceania. I bought a local foodie book, cute notecards, Richard Scarry tags & signed up for the loyalty program. It was fun to add it to LibraryThing & Litsy too. #indie #buylocal 🌺
