Here‘s my #IndependentBookstoreDay haul. 🙂📚 Two of these were free ARCs (tagged and Vera). I bought more than I intended to, but can‘t say I‘m surprised by that 😆. I had preordered Lives of Puppets and Boneshard War.

It was an amazing day, so much fun.

Have you seen this new David Eggers? I started reading it there (at Book People.) It has a wooden cover and beautiful illustrations. It‘s from the point of view of a wild dog, fun so far.

Books Kinokuniya - Carrollton | Carrollton, Texas (Bookstore)

Independent Bookstore Day was a huge success! I didn‘t know that Kinokuniya had stores all over the world. The Austin store isn‘t listed on Litsy, that‘s the one we visited, not the tagged one. Several of these were first time visits for me, and we went to Book People as well but I forgot to get a photo. Book haul photo tomorrow, I‘m exhausted and I‘ve got some reading to do 😉📚🖤. I definitely splurged, but what a great day!

Soubhiville @Meshell I had no idea it even existed until a couple weeks ago. What a great place. Varied selection, much bigger than I knew going in, and in addition to books so much fun stuff! Stickers, paper products, and I may have gotten a panda hat for my cats… 🤣 12mo

I celebrated #independentbookstoreday by doing the #greatercharlottebookcrawl with some of my irl book club, including @wideeyedreader We were able to get to 8 stores and had an amazing time. I got some new bookmarks, pins, a tote, t-shirt and the stack of books. A very successful day!

Independent Bookstore Day!!! Visited 7 book stores (and that‘s not even all of the indies in ATX - we are a great city for book lovers) - bought WAY too many books (no regrets)… just a great day all around!
