This book is a fictionalized story based on a real life girl who decided that she had to help our planet. The giants have taken over and are destroying everything. Greta is going to take a stand, and others will join her to defeat the giants and make them learn better ways. What a wonderful story of a true superhero who stood up and said Not today.

While I've impressed the importance of recycling, not being wasteful & treating our world with respect on my daughter since she was old enough to understand, I've sheltered her from the whole sorry & scary situation to a certain extent. Now she's able to understand and cope with the information emotionally if introduced gently and age appropriately. Which this book does. Lots of excellent talking points & empowering advice.

runswithscissors007 Hooray for empowering advice!! 5y
ravenlee I had a similar quandary yesterday with my 6.5-year-old about covid-19. It‘s a hard balance to strike. 5y

This is well done. The art is good, and the story is well written, clear and simple. I like the blend of action and hope. I think it will make a great gift for the little one I'm giving it to for Xmas! (yes I read it first, shh don't tell)

So. Many. Lovely. Books! One of the things I miss the most due to my illness is wandering around the shopping centre just browsing. Especially in bookstores. Even today I could see but not touch because my chair wouldn‘t fit in the aisles, so I had to sit outside while the hubby ran around inside, holding up books & yelling “Is this it?” So frustrating🙄I didn‘t even get pictures for the #WinterGames scavenger hunt! 1point + 76 #PointsTotal-1,536

Karisa That sounds so frustrating! Your husband sounds like a lovely guy! 5y
Bookworm54 It‘s nice your hubby will do that, but awful for you. This just says to me that we need bigger bookshops! 💕 5y

With our focus on our new climate change hero, this short little tale shows Greta standing up to those ruining the environment and causing climate change. I can only hope the ending comes true for all of us. #Greta #climatechange

This was a wonderful, beautifully illustrated book about how the giants (humans) are destroying the forest (the world) and Greta protests until they realize what they are doing and stop climate change. Based on Greta Thunberg.
