This children‘s book has 12 different poems following a family and their Halloween experience! My favorite poem was “I‘m a Monster!”, it was about a little boy dressed as a monster and when he looked in the mirror he did not like what he saw. The teaching strategy that could be used is SR, and UDL Principle used is clarifying syntax and structure (2.2).

LizzettM EL 8, model, explain and name the strategy
used, students will know what poetry is. http://www.nancywhitecarlstrom.com/books/index.html

KatiaP Sounds like a great story to read around Halloween time. So cute how a kid doesn't like when he looks like a monster. Should definitely take a look at this book. 4y
DrSpalding What an excellent anthology to share around Halloween. Nice image! Helpful resource and nice alignment to universal design and English learner strategies. 4y
