Lucky enough to read this one while we did some stuff on children‘s books at work and this one blew me away. So simple and sad, probably sadder for adults than children. A child is preparing to leave their home and needs to work out how to take their whale with them in their tiny suitcase. I‘m so happy to see children‘s books unafraid to talk about hard topics.
