Bought a bag of historical romance by the pound at a small little bookstore called The Book Burrow in Pflugerville Texas. Got a couple that I‘ve heard great things about!

Boy, this book should come with a big trigger warning splashed on the inside cover.

That said, this was a fun historical romance romp. It reminded me of reading these types of romances in the late 90's (during high school!). In all honesty, I'm looking forward to another historical romance sooner than later.

I couldn't help but picture Rowena from Supernatural as our title character as they have the same name!

This book was friggin' bonkers. But I enjoyed it. I genuinely have no idea how Lindsey managed to pull off a sexual violence and revenge plot in this way but...she did.

Set in England 1152. The premise is rather brutal & trigger warnings do apply for sexual assault. I read this the 1st time in 1991. At the time, it was rather revolutionary because it was not just the heroine who was made a victim. It‘s classic old school #romantsy & not for everyone but Lindsey is a Queen of the bodice ripper & this is a good read. 🗡🗡🗡🗡#osrbc
