Didn‘t get a chance to post yesterday. The story “Granny Grinning” in this book is about a girl who wants a vampire costume for Christmas but gets a #zombie & the reason her parents buy the zombie costume for her is actually quite disturbing. 😱 I‘ll say no more.

DebinHawaii @Reggie Hah! It is a freaky story. Kids want these very realistic costumes that turn them into monsters. Her rich & unpleasant grandmother‘s husband died recently & her father got the zombie in a likeness of her dead husband, so when granny came to the house fro Christmas, the girl is pushed into wearing it & “becomes” the grandpa husband. The granny writes them a check (money was tight) & takes the zombie up to her room to bed 🤯😱🤢 & it⬇️ 2y

I read the first story in this book, “Click-Clack the Rattlebag” by Neil Gaiman some years ago, & while I wasn‘t #scared per se, I think it‘s a great little story that has a good ominous creepy vibe. Plus out of the 26 #ScarathlonWordSearch words in it, 11 were “scary.” It also gets me some extra points for #TeamMonsterMash 👻
