A powerful and diverse collection of essays exploring women's agency and autonomy in relation to work, sexual violence and how hard it can be to be believed.
Although I cannot relate to every single essay, I felt deeply connected to all of them and my heart goes out to every single women who has been silenced or disbelieved.
I loved this book so much!!! The diversity of essays is astounding. Many of the essays truly taught me new perspectives on a variety of issues, such as domestic violence, growing up in a poor minority household, etc.. I would consider this book necessary to anyone who wants to understand how it is to live as a woman in a variety of cultures.
