After She Wrote Him
After She Wrote Him | Sulari Gentill

If you get lost in a book, be sure you can find your way back . . . Madeleine d'Leon doesn't know where Edward came from. He is simply a character in her next book. But as she writes, he becomes all she can think about. His charm, his dark hair, his pen scratching out his latest literary novel . . . Edward McGinnity can't get Madeleine out of his mindsoftly smiling, infectiously enthusiastic, and perfectly damaged. She will be the ideal heroine for his next book. But who is the author and who is the creation? And as the lines start to blur, who is affected when a killer finally takes flesh? After She Wrote Him is a wildly inventive twist on the murder mystery that takes readers on a journey filled with passion, obsession, and the emptiness left behind when the real world starts to fall away.

A delightful mystery with a difference. Who is the fictional author. I really enjoyed. A lovely escape.

CarolynM I really liked this one. I had a lovely FB exchange with Sulari Gentill in which I said I couldn‘t decide which writer was real and which was fictional & she said she couldn‘t either! 6mo
Jeg @CarolynM I‘ve just realised from your comment that I‘ve read this before. But it was called Crossing The Line. You got me started on reading her books. About a year ago. Sometimes I do worry about my memory. 😏 6mo

Bk5 of my #BookMail is the new standalone from the author of the Rowly Sinclair series. Madeleine doesn‘t know where Edward came from. The MC of her new book, he‘s all she can think about to the point where he‘s taking over her whole life. Edward McGinnity can‘t get Madeleine out of his head. She‘s the ideal heroine for his new novel. But who is the author & who is the creation. As the lines blur, who‘ll be affected when the killer takes flesh?

Teresereading I read Book 8 recently, and really enjoyed it. Loved the mix of fact and fiction, and the references to Joe Lyons PM. Have to go back to the start of the series now. 14mo

11-14-22: My 114th finished book of 2022! What an interesting concept. Madeleine d‘Leon is a writer of crime fiction who has created Edward McGinnity as her new main character. But Edward is a literary novelist who has created Maddie as his new main character. Which is real and which is fiction? As we go through their two stories the lines start to blur and their hold on the real world starts to fade. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️📖#️⃣1️⃣1️⃣4️⃣

Not often you can say of any book - but especially a mystery - that it is utterly original, but, well, this really is. Who is the author and who is the subject? It‘s delightful and perplexing and all very meta - but splendid entertainment.

Whoa. What a novel. I can see why it won Best Crime Fiction. The characters got in my head as a reader. They were both real. I was putting all sorts of plots into the book. I didn‘t think it would end where it did… what a twist! You‘ll love this if you love crime novels.

#ForeverNovember #FallColors

Our our leaves have fallen now, so all the trees are bare, waiting for snow to make them sparkle. Our weather has been in High 40s to 70s lately, so snow is not in the air.
