Pickpick

During the #20series20days thread @Cathythoughts included the oland series + having read bk1 i recalled this was on my shelf so picked it up. Absolutely loved this very creepy mystery set on a remote Swedish island where katrine and joakim plus their 2 children restore the large house near 2 deserted lighthouses. The house seems to be haunted by memories of past residents which adds to an atmospheric story + tense end. Can be rd as stand alone

Cathythoughts Lovely picture of a bright room 😁. I really enjoyed this series. So glad you liked the 2d book 4y

Satisfying thriller, somehow a little lighter than Echoes from the Dead.

#MarchInBooks #SetOnIsland the tagged book is the 2d book set in winter ... THe Oland Quartet ( a book for each season) set on the island of Oland off of Sweden ( Johan Theorin loves this island, that comes through in the writing). 4 great books , intense & mysterious. I loved them & really want to go to Oland.

batsy Intense and mysterious and island setting, sounds good. Gonna stack the first one 👍🏽 6y

Mehso-so

Book 2 of The Oland Quartet. I expected so much more...the blurb on the back (granted it was for Book 1) mentioned Henning Mankell so my expectations were high. The story was not very compelling and was about 100 pages too long. Perhaps the other books in the quartet will be better.
