The World Needs More Purple People
The World Needs More Purple People | Kristen Bell, Benjamin Hart
5 posts | 4 read | 1 to read
#1 New York Times bestseller! Actress, producer, and parent Kristen Bell (The Good Place, Veronica Mars, Frozen) and creative director and parent Benjamin Hart have a new challenge for you and your kids: become a purple person by embracing what makes YOU special while finding common ground with those around you. What is a purple person? Great question. I mean, really great! Because purple people always ask really great questions. They bring their family, friends, and communities together, and they speak up for whats right. They are kind and hardworking, and they love to laugh (especially at Grandpas funny noises)! A purple person is an everyday superhero! How do you become one? Thats the fun part! Penny Purple will lead you through the steps. Get ready to be silly, exercise your curiosity, use your voice, and be inspired. Looking to reach beyond the political divide of red and blue, Kristen Bell and Benjamin Hart have created a hilarious and joyous read-aloud that offers a wonderful message about embracing the things that bring us together as humans. This book will inspire a whole generation to paint the world purple!

Mehso-so

I listened to the audio while following along with the kindle version. This book was just meh for me. It was somehow able to be all over the place and vague at the same time. I think it‘s too long winded for its target audience. I was pretty disappointed because I adore Kristen Bell. #BookSpinBingo

Pickpick

This is a cute and funny RF book and I think it‘s great to encourage students to ask a lot of questions like the girl in the book. It can inspire the students (and teachers) and it‘s a great one for the classroom library! #UCFLAE3414SP21 https://uploads-ssl.webflow.com/5e7e39cfcef11f64f0277994/5ea0930ddf66b20f4aa421a... This link has many activities for this book but I specifically love the first one!

ReaganT The activity is to draw the purple people in your life! This book can be taught using UDL principle 8.3 foster collaboration and community by having students talk about the purple people in their life. ESOL strategy 1 teaching questioning for clarification works well with this book because it says purple people ask a lot of questions! 3y
ReaganT Again forgetting the title! The World Needs More Purple People by Kristen Bell (so cool) and Benjamin Hart! 3y
Chaseb hey Reagan don‘t forget to put the genre :) 3y
ReaganT @Chaseb I just noticed that thank you!! 3y
DrSpalding At times you are forgetting to identify the teaching strategy that you would use. Here I assume it would be a read aloud? 3y
