⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I don‘t watch SNL, but I love humorous memoirs, so when a friend recently recommended this, I placed a hold. This guy is married to Scarlett Johansson, y‘all (I‘m slow to celeb news). Anyway, Jost, a comedy writer, is unsurprisingly a fantastic, often self-deprecating, storyteller. That said, his heartfelt essay about his mom during 9/11 was a real standout. Really enjoyed this. Great on audio!

This was interesting. I‘m only a casual SNL watcher and the majority was a life story with clever quips. It was a quick read. Anyone who loves a memoir this is a good quick one.

LOVED this audio book. I laughed out loud the whole time and now so appreciate Colin‘s work ethic when watching Weekend Update. Gotta love a self-deprecating author for the sake of the joke.

Not gonna lie: I picked up this book based on the title, before I realized who Colin Jost even is. But I'm really glad I did! It was hilarious and kept my interest the whole way. Also, I'm realizing how much I love memoirs (especially from celebrities) on audiobook narrated by the author! I borrowed this one from my library with #Libby. A great pick to take your mind off of #covid and just make you laugh. I needed this

Laughing hysterically with Bluetooth earbuds in. I'm sure the neighbors are wondering what's wrong with her. Colin's right though - you're gonna want to see the pictures. So I got Kindle edition as well.

Also if Colin Jost ever does run away to Puerto Rico and write a Fantasy novel, I'd definitely read it. 🤣

Not gonna lie, I‘ve had a TV crush on him for years. The book is funny, too! I respond well to his type of humor, and he also seems very intelligent. I don‘t think I‘ve ever finished a classic Russian novel, but he has inspired me.

Jost is funny and Witty. He talks about some great things without promising a lot of his own future.

I am not a regular SNL viewer, though I've enjoyed Jost's Weekend Update performances on the rare occasions I've seen them.

I was pleasantly surprised at how funny his memoir was overall (being funny doesn't always translate to an enjoyable memoir). Even more, I was pleasantly surprised at how interesting his life and family are. I was especially struck by the chapter on his mom.

Finished this last night. There were many time I LOL‘d in this book. I am a big fan of SNL and Jost. If you are not, this might not be the book for you. He talks a lot about his time at SNL. There is a lot of family and embarrassing moments thrown in. I feel that at 37 Colin knows himself well and has grown into his skin. Loved the chapter on his parasitic infection, but I do think he needs to see a dr. about his uncontrollable defecation.

sprainedbrain I‘m laughing just reading your review. 😂 5y
