I‘m home all weekend, so instead of being super productive this afternoon, I finished this book. Creepy YA books are not my genre of choice, but this was a fun, easy read. There were no real surprises for me in the direction the story took, but it kept me reading. So, overall it‘s a light pick because I think it would be successful in my class library.

4/5 ⭐

Even thought it was predictable, I really enjoyed reading this book. I think it would make a great movie.

We follow Margot as the Sutton family welcome her into their home. They two children: One boy and girl. Mysterious things are happening, drama and secrets are revealed.

❐ Overall Rating 4⭐ | Narration 😀 = Good
Behind this innocuous but creepy cover lies a fiendishly clever story about an orphan who goes to live with a family who has a connection to her now-deceased father...but their reasons for taking her in are not what they appear to be, they are in reality much more self-serving; to a degree that you won‘t necessarily see coming. ⬇ ⬇ ⬇

AudiobookingWithLeah I was sufficiently creeped out right after Margot arrives at the estate and it wasn‘t long before I was genuinely interested in WTF was going on in this house of horrors.

Welcome to the Copeland Estate. An orphan taken in due to her dad in college saved the man. they already have children and they a daughter that stopped speaking and wanted her to be Agathas companion.
Laura, the mom, is Agatha‘s caretaker.
What creepy things does Margot find in this huge estate? Will she be able to help Agatha speak again, or will she also become another one of the Copeland estates mysteries?

This was super creepy and super interesting. I did not want to put this book down at all when I was reading it. It was a quick read that I would have finished in a day if I hadn‘t been so busy. I had a lot of questions at the end of the story and am still curious about some stuff. But, overall, I thought it was very captivating and kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time.
