Dead Eleven: A Novel | Jimmy Juliano

I saw someone mention this during #Summerween, so I ordered a physical copy, but have been listening to the audiobook today. It‘s sooooo good so far! It‘s like Groundhog‘s Day meets The Village with lots if 90s references thrown in.

jlhammar Awesome! Just got this one. Can‘t wait! 7mo

I‘m not the best audience for this manga but it was okay and cute, how this girl who is not supposed to have magic discover that maybe she has it. There will be adventure and risks in this journey.
I have difficulties to appreciate the art. Some traces were not well defined but I don‘t read much mangas or graphic novels. 3⭐️

I enjoyed this cozy mystery. Jane lives with her uncle and aunt in a resort and to increase the number of bookings and raise money for repairs to the property, she creates a Murder and Mayhem week. There will be prizes for those who solved the clues. But the activity turns in a real murder after a book was given as a prize by mistake since the book shouldn‘t be given away. Jane will discover many secrets around this book, about a society ⬇️

Gissy (Cont.) ...about her uncle and aunt. You also have the funny scenes expected this type of genre in this case by the aunt d as bd the twins. It was fun. What will happen in the next book?

Unpopular opinion-I didn‘t like this one as much as I wanted. Too many coincidences in those twists, so convenient with a dramatic ending and almost happy ending😳
Love the premise but you see from the beginning that something is off🙄 3⭐️

Andrew65 I loved No Exit, but found the next one, Hairpin Bridge, wasn‘t as strong. 9mo
Gissy @Andrew65 This one has mix reviews. Some people really like it. I enjoyed some parts but it wasn‘t what I expected. Try it, you never know🤗 9mo
Andrew65 @Gissy I‘m sure I‘ll get to it at some point. 9mo
MaleficentBookDragon I don‘t care for it either. The “motivation” for the big bad was laughable to me. I couldn‘t buy it at all. And I found the book kind of boring for a thriller. 8mo

Unpopular opinion because this one has low rating but I enjoyed it. Eric is in disguised with 2 daughters, something happened in the past that they left abruptly. He needs to work and gain some money and need a place to stay for his daughters. Then, there is a well paid job offer where the catch? He has to live in a house documenting everything that he sees in the house. What happen in the house, what is the history. It has a couple of twists⬇️

5feet.of.fury I loved this one. So freakin creepy! 9mo
Gissy It is not perfect but I like this character Eric. It will turn in something paranormal that maybe that is the reason that didn‘t work for some readers. 3.5/3.8⭐️

I enjoyed it, the audiobook is great. Leigh lives alone, no friends and hasn‘t see her sister for a long time. She starts to listen noises at night, a figure trying to enter into her room and that voice. Oh, how well this part was dramatized in the audiobook. Can‘t say much but the story has a couple of twist, some I didn‘t expected, some I suspected. If you enjoyed Darcy Dark and the movie The Others, there is a high chance you will like it

Gissy The gifts were practical, things that I will use. 3.5/3.8⭐️

☀️Many challenges but one of them is #Summerween- love it because you read basically thrillers/horror/books set in fall
☀️Didn‘t read anything spectacular because I only read 6 books but Exiles by Jane Harper was a good sequel. Also These Ghosts Are Family
☀️I will say that in general, I enjoyed the 6 books read in June, nothing was “worst”.

Thank you @Eggs ❤️🥰📚

Yesterday I finished this for some #summerween fun. It takes the legend of the rogarou & combines it with a modern day indigenous thriller. It was a fast read, & I appreciated the clever ending.
Bombadil appreciates all stories starring scary black dogs (like him).
Read if you like criticism of overreaching Christian organizations, indigenous main characters, strong women, or married couples in love.
