pickI came for the witty banter and stayed for the feels.
Seriously though, when the MC's engineer is named Hell Monkey you know the snark is going to be good. I thought I was grabbing a fun space adventure featuring a treasure hunt for the crown. And that's what the first half of the book was.
Until. Yeah, until. I don't want to spoil anything, but suddenly this book starts hitting hard and fast. The snark is still there, but holy hell.

Well, I just read this one straight through, only pausing long enough to cram some queso fries into my mouth. I'll post a real review tomorrow, but this was WAY better than I expected. And I expected good things.
Starting this one for a quiet weekend at home! This one is recommended for fans of The Hunger Games, Aurora Rising and Three Dark Crowns so I have high hopes.
pickWhat a pleasant surprise!I loved this book!I‘m certainly not a teen nor was I a Science Fiction fan.But I am now!I loved this books format.Short chapters broken down into small parts.Each part told a story of its own.While reading,I visited so many planets,and met so many aliens!This fast pace adventure read grabbed me from the start,and keep me interested until the very end.This authors debut novel is sure a good one!Thanks, Goodreads,for the ARC
