When a woman is found brutally murdered in Austin, reporter Bailey Rhoads turns up demanding access. She tries to pry information out of the lead detective, Jacob Merritt. This was marketed as romantic suspense. I felt neither romance nor suspense. There was potential but it wasn‘t fleshed out. I liked the introduction of both the main characters but then there was no development. I felt no sparks between the two and the “romantic” scenes were boring. So was the mystery. Bored. But it was a fast read and it‘s off my TBR!
