My take: This was a cute, fast easy read. When something is too good to be true, it usually is! There is twist at the end you won‘t see coming so stay tuned! #bookreview #books #litsy

Thanks to #netgalley for the ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review. I have loved Sue Watson's thrillers ever since reading her first one and this book did not disappoint either. It was creepy enough to keep me hooked without being far fetched as some books in this genre can be. This book will definitely leave you questioning the safety of online dating and just how real people are on their social media profiles. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Sitting across from Alex, Hannah believes she has found the one. He wants everything on her list- 3 children, a labrador, and weekends in Devon. To some, Alex's actions appear controlling and manipulative; however, to Hannah it is his way of showing love. Who can Hannah trust to help her dissolve the puzzle that is Alex? Or is he as wonderful as Hannah thinks he is?
This suspenseful novel starts off slow but the ending merits reading until then.
First Date grabbed my attention from the first page.
Hannah has the perfect first date with Alex. Red flags start to be revealed. Is Alex really as perfect as Hannah thinks? Is anything Alex says true.
The end was very unexpected in the best way. I recommend First Date to domestic thriller fans.
Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for First Date.
