Bailey Briggs is counting down the days to Christmas: she lives for holiday music, baking cookies, going on snowy sleigh rides, and wearing her light-up reindeer ears to work at Winslow's bookstore. But all she really wants this year is the one thing she does not have: someone special to kiss under the mistletoe. And she is 100 percent certain that that someone is not Jacob Marley--athlete, player, and of questionable taste in girlfriends--and that Charlie, the mysterious stranger with the British accent, is the romantic lead of her dreams. Is she right?

Fluffy YA Christmas fare. Bailey, a junior in high school, is obsessed with Christmas and her big Christmas wish this year is to have someone to kiss under the mistletoe. Obviously that guy will be romance-movie perfect, and when a cute guy with a British accent seems to keep showing up at just the right moment, it has to be him, right? Except Bailey also keeps running into fellow-classmate Jacob.

This was fun, but it felt like the triangle ⬇️

TheAromaofBooks (cont'd) went on a little too long. I also got a little eye-rolly with Bailey who would get all annoyed with Jacob doing “unromantic“ things like... messing around with his friends and accidentally burping one time when they were together (for which he immediately said “excuse me“ like seriously, girl, get over yourself, he's a 17-year-old guy). I did like Bailey overall and it was fun to read a YA book where the MC actually gets along great ⬇ 2y

I enjoyed the simple lighthearted and fun tone of the story. It easily put a smile on my face and got me in the Christmas mood.
It is definitely a YA book. At times it seemed a little immature, but it wasn't bad. The characters had their good moments and their bad. I actually really liked all of them.

This is a very clean Christmas YA romance, and while I liked it, I don't love the narrator and that might have kept this from being higher rated. Plus it reads young (I know, it's YA, but it felt Bailey felt like a very young teenager). Lots of cute holiday vibes though! #WinterGames2020 #MerryReaders @Clwojick

Work is weird and stressful... but I did get some extra reading time in. Both All I Want for Christmas and The Trouble with Christmas were the Christmas distraction I craved. We're almost to Christmas, #MerryReaders and all #WinterGames2020 peeps! @Clwojick 771pts.
