This started off really good, but half way through seemed to have a lot going on. I found it a bit silly.

Sadie Roper moves back to London. First, she needs to get her daughter settled into a new school. Next, she's going to get back the criminal barrister career she sacrificed for marriage ten years earlier. Nothing goes quite as planned. The school is not very welcoming, her daughter hasn't made any friends yet and the mothers are as competitive as their children. Sadie finds herself on the outside. Julia, queen of the school moms, befriends Sadie.
Really enjoyed this book, kept me sooo intrigued to keep reading. The end was quite quick but was a good easy read 📖 😃 👍🏼
So far the main character is really irritating me. But the story is good enough to keep me interested!
I left the house in such a hurry today that I forgot to bring “Saving Justice” with me. Luckily, y‘know, I have a whole building of backups to have chosen from for a lunchtime read, so I grabbed this one. #theliesyoutold #harriettyce
🎉 Happy New Year🥳
I spent the evening snug & warm in my jammies on the couch, reading & enjoying a glass (or two) of wine.🍷 I watched the ball drop in Times Square without the usual crowds. It was indeed an unusual celebration.
I hope you had a lovely holiday season & that all your bookish dreams come true in 2021!
