There's the obvious #fireandice series option (Game of Thrones if anyone doesn't know what I'm talking about!), but there's also Doctor Who. Quote comes from 'The Family of Blood' episode but have tagged the correct author. #WinterWonderland @Cinfhen @TrishB
I had no idea that the Human Nature / Family Of Blood two part 10th Doctor story was based on a book. I love that story. It was interesting having the 7th Doctor be Smith rather than the 10th.
Had to go with Paul CORNell for today's prompt. This is one of several Doctor Who novels I scooped at a local used book sale 😁

I also have shelves for my Doctor Who books (plus some old VHS tapes I kept purely for decorative purposes).
In Ottawa, the 4th Saturday of May is the Great Glebe Garage Sale. Residents, businesses and institutions all hold yard sales on the same day, including an awesome book sale at one of the churches. This year I found A WHOLE BOX OF DOCTOR WHO NOVELS ?? In the end I bought "only" 8. Also found a few other books, a few DVDs at a big DVD sale, and a Strand Books purse! Not a bad morning's work ?
Did you know that one of the most popular New Who episodes was based on what's considered the best Doctor Who novel? Human Nature underwent some big changes going from print to screen (for one thing, the book stars the Seventh Doctor), and while the two-part episode is great I think the novel is better. Plus it features the awesome Bernice Summerfield as companion! Highly recommended for anyone wanting to try the New Adventures series. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
