Had to put my book aside for a few days, but I'm so ready to dive back in after work tonight

This one wasn't amazing but the storyline carried it to make me finish it. The writing is clunky and a little twee sometimes in the dialogue but all in all it was OK. The 'twist' that wasn't really a twist I saw a mile off which was a little disappointing. Harmless reading that you don't have to think about.

This has got to be one of the best thrillers I have read so far this year.
DI Grace Archer is assigned a case to find the @nonymous murderer.
It's a serial killer that is using his staged murder victims as art installations that he is live streaming to social media.
Sickened by watching people die online Archer and her partner Quinn are in a frantic race to try to apprehend the killer and stay one step ahead to try and save his next victim.

This one checks all the boxes for high-energy thrillers: child abduction, a missing MP, a troublesome journalist, a difficult home life for the lead detective, a ticking clock, a parable about the dangers of social media… I actually can‘t think of anything Fennell left out. Still, The Art Of Death was a solid, gripping read, one that steers into the skid of the gruesome and macabre. Full review: https://keepingupwiththepenguins.com/new-releases/

This was an interesting story and i enjoyed the mystery but it didnt draw me in as much as I'd hoped it would. I figured out who was behind the murders fairly quickly. The plot was a bit slow but did build to a very dramatic ending which I enjoyed. I liked the back story of Grace but couldn't quite like her enough by the end of the story. I did like Quin though and Klara too. A good crime, thriller. #netgalley 3* a pick just.
